Mondays are better with Freedom Toast.
Oh France. . . Is there anything that says luxury, elitism, latte-drinking, global warming ghost stories, granny-killing, ketchup kingdoms and socialism more than calling something "French" . . . Yes. . . There is.
BUT is there anything that can start off a week of activism and compassionate outreach better than VEGAN CINNAMON FRENCH TOAST? NEVER!
Bon Appétit!
Mix the Soy Milk, Flour, yeast, Sugar & Cinnamon. Pour the Mix into a pan or bowl that the bread can sit in and be equally covered by the Mix.
Heat the Oil in a pan. Dip the Bread into the mix until equally covered on all sides and then place in the skillet. Fry each side until golden brown and crispy - about 5-7 minutes total.

Steampunk Monkey Rescue
So, my handsome husband & I have been spending our nights laying out a blue print for our brilliant marriage. . . and one thing we agree upon is that it would be great to take our dedication to animal rights and rescue to the next level.
So we debated long and hard - mapping out our free-time vs. work related commitments & volunteering abilities vs. realistic time commitments - including of course sleep and meal schedules and estimated travel . . . and then came the hard part . . . weighing the political and economically concerns that are connected with the various ways animals are exploited . . . so we could figure out who would benefit the most from our efforts. Basically it came down to really one group of animals that in all our combined years in the animal rights movement we have never heard of anyone doing anything for . . . The Steampunk Monkeys.
Even though these monkeys have contributed so much to our world as far as exciting and creative technology - some are even war veterans - TSK - we couldn't find a single organization that advocated for these talented primates. So once we hear back about a few grants and major donors - we are setting in place the 1st ever Sanctuary for Steampunk Monkeys. It is our hope that our apartment will not only provide a forever home for them but contribute to our lives as well. . . Such future projects include:
- A Trans-Apartment Railroad for the kittens
- A hot air balloon mail recovery system
- An increase in banana bread and pancake production from our kitchen
- The construction of a Tesla-esque clean energy plant for the home office
- More Ray Guns
If you think this is a valuable project please donate large amounts of money - Fruit and Tools aren't cheap!

The Danannie Wedding
It has only been a few weeks and though they say things don't really change all that much after you get married . . . things are different . . . just the slightest bit better.
Not to brag or anything - BUT we had a pretty beautiful wedding that was actually fun and full of dancing, wine, lots of flowers, gnocchi, Tofurky, tattoos, smooth suits and cupcakes and it had a distinct lack of drama or real mishap. There was no unwanted crashers and just a slight threat of rain. And although we didn't have any of the hilarious disasters or heartbreaking mishaps that are so common amongst wedding themed cinema - At one point during the reception - I said to P.T. "I feel like this is the end of a movie. All these old friends from all over the world coming together on this one weekend and now we are all dancing and hugging . . . I feel like any minute now - we're ready for the camera to pull away into the credits . . . I'm ready for our happy ending now."
Or was it just the beginning. . . . DUHDUHDUH!
